Frances M. Bolin

Frances Marie Bolin, 90, of Gentry, Ark., died May 22, 2012, at the Golden Girls Retirement Manor, Siloam Springs, Ark. Born May 26, 1921, in Gentry, Ark., she was the daughter of Clement Jay Test and Jessie M. Glass Test. She was a retired beautician. Frances attended First Christian Church of Gentry, and was a member of the First Christian Women's Fellowship, 50-plus year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, plus past secretary of Gentry OES. She married Roy O. Bolin on Aug. 18, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and Joe Test; and by her grandson, Samuel Jay Bolin II. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Roy O. Bolin of Gentry; two sons, Jim Bolin and wife, Jean, of Newmarket, Ontario, and Sam Bolin and wife, Sue, of Springdale, Ark.; one daughter, Donna David and husband, Owen, of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to caregiver Sheri Simms for the wonderful job and unwavering care given to Frances. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at First Christian Church, Gentry, Ark., with the Rev. Danny Bice officiating. A private burial will be held.
