Mike Eugene Muller

Mike Eugene Muller, 60, of Memphis, Tenn., departed this life on May 16, 2012. He was born in DeWitt, Ark., to Nell Virginia and Eugene Thayne Muller on November 3, 1951. Mike spent his childhood in DeWitt, graduating from DeWitt High School and receiving his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Arkansas. Mike enjoyed many adventures in his life and lived several years in Oak Ridge, Roatan, Honduras. He traveled extensively around the world but always returned home to Memphis. He enjoyed volunteering, hiking with friends, swimming laps at the gym, and playing a serious game of Scrabble. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Theodore William Muller. He is survived by his sister, Judy Muller Cockrum of Lexington, Ky., and his brother, Thayne Davidson Muller of Memphis. He also leaves behind nephews, Kirby Cockrum of Ft. Smith, Ark.; Justin Muller of Little Rock, Ark.; Mitchell and Matthew Muller of Memphis; nieces, Thayne Cockrum of Larkspur, Calif.; Blair Cromwell of Bella Vista, Ark.; Lillian Muller of Memphis; and cousin, Michael Sharon Ray of Little Rock, Ark. Mike was loved by so many, and if one was fortunate enough to know Mike, they know that his love was unconditionally reciprocal. He was the consummate brother, uncle, and friend. His sudden passing leaves a void that shall not be filled. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, Tenn. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held in DeWitt, Ark., later this summer. Memorial contributions may be made to the E. Thayne Muller Foundation Scholarship Fund at DeWitt Bank and Trust, P.O. Drawer 71, DeWitt, Ark. 72042 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
