Harold Harvison Holman Sr.

Harold Harvison Holman Sr. of Berryville, Ark., was born March 4, 1947, in Berryville, Ark. He departed this life on May 6, 2012, in Berryville, Ark., at the age of 65. Harold proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith. On Sept. 20, 1968, he was united in marriage with Norma Jean Smith. He is also survived by three sons, Harold Holman Jr., Chester and wife Wendy Holman of Berryville, Ark., Toby and wife Missy Holman of Lowell, Ark.; one brother, Darrell Holman of Berryville, Ark.; two sisters, Dixie Armstrong of Berryville, Ark., Della and husband Bill Potteet of Shell Knob, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Elise, Eric, Dylan, Dustin, Justin, Boston and Brooklyn; several nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends; one sister-in-law, Patricia Holman of Berryville, Ark.; and his faithful companion, Duke. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Junior and Bobby Lee Holman; two brothers-in-law, Bill Armstrong and Ricky Spencer. Visitation was held 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, May 9, 2012, at the Farmer Cemetery with Brother Dearl Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Farmer Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
