Nora N. Cope

Mrs. Nora N. Cope, 87, died March 12, 2012, in Tulsa, Okla. She was born April 24, 1924, in Pontotoc, Okla. She was the daughter of Christine and Roby Farnsworth. She was married to Richard F. Cope in 1948 upon his return from active duty in World War II, and they shared many wonderful years together. Upon his retirement, they resided in Rogers, Ark., where she opened Patchwork Emporium, one of the Top 10 rated quilt shops in the region. After Richard's death, she moved to Tulsa, Okla., where she re-opened Nora's Quilts at the age of 76. She was a free spirited and fiercely independent artist and shared her joy of art and quilting with her many friends and family. She is survived by her sister, Kristin McManus and husband, James; and 11 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, at 3:30 p.m. at the Warren Chapel in Montereau.
