Alta Bradley Neuberger

Alta Bradley Neuberger, 94, a long-time resident of El Dorado, passed away on June 12, 2012, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mrs. Neuberger was born in Bluff City, Arkansas on December 21, 1917 to J.W. and Eula Bradley. She married Jean E. Neuberger on April 20, 1940 and they had three children. Their marriage lasted 53 years prior to Mr. Neuberger's death in 1993. Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Jean E. Neuberger; her parents, J.W. and Eula Bradley, a sister, Bunice Short, and two brothers, Emerson and Larry Bradley. She is survived by a son, Jean E. Neuberger III and wife Stephanie of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a daughter, Danna Hildebrand of Sheridan, Wyoming, and a daughter, Sharon Hamner of Dallas, Texas. Survivors also include five grandchildren: Mel Hildebrand, Heath Hildebrand, Stacey Floyd, Jennifer Neuberger, and Jean E. Neuberger IV. She has seven surviving great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. Mrs. Neuberger attended Henderson State Teachers College and graduated from South Arkansas University. She was an elementary school teacher in the El Dorado public school system for over 24 years. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was an accomplished pianist who shared her talents with many civic organizations and charities. Mrs. Neuberger was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado, Green Thumb Garden Club, Lady Lions Club, and Delta Kappa Gamma sorority. Funeral services will take place at the First Presbyterian Church at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012. The graveside services will be at Bluff City cemetery, Bluff City, Arkansas. Visitation is at Young's Funeral Directors on Thursday, June 14, 2012, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. An online guest registry will be available at www.youngsfuneralhome.com.
