Fred J. Miller (Freddy), 85, of Rogers, AR, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born Nov. 13, 1926, to parents, Ira M. Miller and Myrtle May Dryden, in Rogers, Ark., and was a lifelong resident of Arkansas. Freddy was married to his wife Betty for nearly 62 years, and together they have three children. He proudly served his country in WWII, and also served as Deacon, Treasurer, and custodial groundskeeper at Rolling Hills where he was also a charter member. He was one of the first members of Rolling Hills Baptist Church, and even helped break ground when the church was built. He worked for Frisco Railroad and the VA Hospital. Freddy was very dedicated to his family and his church. He especially enjoyed baseball and watching Kaylee after school, playing catch and taking walks together, and carving pumpkins at Halloween. He was known to Kaylee as "Blue Paw" because of his blue truck and blue coveralls he always wore. Blue Paw also enjoyed his visits with granddaughter Grace, and they enjoyed playing hide and go seek and other games. Blue Paw loved both his grandchildren very much and will surely be missed. He is survived by his loving wife Betty; daughters, Joyce Cumbie and husband Curtis of Fayetteville, Donna Miller of Fayetteville, and Judy McNeill and husband Bryan of Sachse, Texas; two grandchildren, Kaylee Cumbie and Grace McNeill, as well as several nieces and nephews.
