L. Rosella East

L. Rosella East, 74, of Springdale, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Katherine's Place Nursing Home in Fayetteville. Rose was born on Aug. 6, 1937, in Los Angeles, Calif., a daughter of Cecil Cockrell and Dolores McCormick Cockrell. She married Paul W. East on Oct. 17, 1953, in La Puente, Calif., celebrating 58 years of marriage together. Rose owned and operated The Perfect Touch Flower and Wedding Shop in Springdale for many years. She was a member of the New Vision Church of God in Springdale, enjoyed painting, making jewelry, reading and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Paul W. East Sr. of Springdale; two sons, William "Bill" East of Maui, Hawaii, and Paul W. East Jr. and wife, Dana, of Springdale; one daughter, Michaelle East and Ed Cheney of Maui, Hawaii; one brother, Cecil C. Cockrell Jr. of Fayetteville; one sister, Glynnda Davis of Lincoln City, Ore.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Elizabeth, Adrianne, Ashley and Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Jakob, Jacklyn, Kayleigh, Brooklynn, Madison Rose and Tyler. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. Charles Channel officiating.
