Norman Eugene Conklin

Norman Eugene Conklin died on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the age of 74, at his home. Born Aug. 19, 1937, in Lincoln, Neb., he was the son of Joseph and Ethel Conklin of Baldwin Park, Calif. He worked at Wal-Mart and had also been a truck driver for Tyson and Willis Shaw for many years. He served in the Armed Forces for four years. He married Nelma Darline Still Conklin on Feb. 22, 1989. He is survived by his wife, Nelma Darline Still Conklin of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter, Cynthia Conklin Dozier and her husband, Randy, of Gentry; two sons, Loran Conklin and his wife, Cheryl, of Coventry, R.I., and Patrick Conklin of Dallas, Texas; brother, Edward Joseph Conklin of Spark, Nev.; sister, Wynoma Schultz of Green Valley, Ariz.; six grandsons, Randy Dozier Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of Gentry, Ark., Ssgt. Barry Dozier and his wife, Wendy, of Beale AFB, California, Jacob Conklin of Coventry, R.I., Justin and Joshua Conklin of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Michael Conklin of Maubelle, Ark; granddaughter, Emily Conklin of Coventry, R.I., two great-grandsons, Zachary Dozier of Beal AFB, California and Jordan Dozier of Gentry, Ark.; great-granddaughter, Haylee Dozier of Beal AFB, California; and several nieces and nephews. Private service will be held at their home in Bentonville, Ark.
