Curtis R. Young

Curtis R. Young, 56, of Rogers, passed away July 17, 2012, in Springdale. He was born May 25, 1956, in Monett, Mo., the son of C.A. "Pete" and Mary Juline Gipson Young. Curtis retired in June 2011. He was a system's analyst for the City of Rogers Water Department, where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of the Faith Builders Church in Rogers. He lived a selfless, powerful life, loving his family and friends dearly and always enjoying their company. He was a blessing to his church along with anyone that knew him, always helping people in any way he could. He liked to hunt, fish and laugh out loud. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Eloise Good. He is survived by his wife, Debra Murray Young, of the home; two sons, Tony Young and wife, Samantha, of Pea Ridge, and Michael Young of Decatur and his fiancee, Emily Hendrickson, of Centerton; one daughter, Sara Young of Pea Ridge and her fiance, James Merritt, of Aurora, Mo.; one brother, Kent Young and wife, Sharon, of Monett, Mo.; 12 grandchildren. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Faith Builders Church, with Pastor Tim Horton officiating.
