Arthur Lyle Howarth

Arthur Lyle Howarth, 76, of Springdale, Ark., passed away with his loving family at his side on Friday, July 13, 2012. The son of James and Esther Elvira McEwen Howarth, he was born March 30, 1936, in Newkirk, Okla. He married Mary Kathryn Weldon on Feb. 23, 1961. Arthur entered the Air Force in 1955 and served during Vietnam, working as an aircraft mechanic and retiring as a master sergeant in 1976. He worked 10 years for the Beaver Water District in Lowell, Ark., and Schwann's for three years. Arthur was an auxiliary volunteer at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale for 10 years. He was a member of the East Point Baptist Church in Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nellie Marie Kirkbride. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Howarth of Springdale; one daughter, Kyle Bennett of Morrilton, Ark.; three sons, "Lyle" Dennis Howarth of Springdale, James Russell Howarth of Fort Meyers, Fla., Larry Weldon of Colcord, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Desiree Bennett, Erica Weldon, Patrick Weldon, Jared Weldon, Janie Brown, Christina Madrid, Amanda Howarth, Stormi Bowen, Montana Howarth; two step-grandchildren, Makayla and Hannah Bott; four great-grandchildren; Haley Howarth, Abigail Brown, Dexton and Easton Madrid; two brothers, Calvin Howarth of Norman, Okla., Edward Howarth of Dodge City, Kan.; two sisters, Iris Dye of Wichita, Kan., Oral Hoke of Ponca City, Okla.; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
