Ernest Eugene Carr, 56, of Fayetteville, Ark., was peacefully called by his Heavenly Father to come home on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Ernest was born March 24, 1956, in Fayetteville, Ark., to the proud parents, Jack and Ernestine Carr. Ernest attended Fayetteville High West Campus, where he specialized in building trades and sports; he eventually proceeded to become bi-state champion in wrestling; his primary occupation was with West Tree Company. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, G.W. Dowell and Roberta Weaver; parents, Jack and Ernestine Carr; aunt, Harriet A. Wright; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Carr. Survivors include his three sons, Jarvis Carr of Fayetteville, Michael Carr and wife, Debbie, of Winslow, Kiano Cooper of Burlington, Iowa; daughter, Alesha Carr of Elm Springs; four brothers, Terry and Jeff Carr, both of Fayetteville, Richard Carr and wife, Wendy, also of Fayetteville, and Kelly Carr and wife, Kathy, of Springdale; sister, Juanita Carr of Little Rock; uncle, Lamont Wright of Fayetteville; his ex-wife, Gwyn Carr of Fayetteville; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends. The family will receive friends at Beard's Funeral Chapel Friday, July 13, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Combs Street Church of Christ on Saturday, July 14, 2012, with Brother Irvine Williams officiating.
