Patsy O. Trollinger

Patricia (Patsy) O. Szmyd-Trollinger of Springdale left this life for eternity with the Lord on July 8, 2012, after a long illness with Parkinson's disease. Patsy lived with amazing strength and dignity throughout her illness. She was born on Sept. 5, 1946, in Chicago Ill., to Henry J. and Patricia Szmyd. Her family moved to Springdale in 1957 where Patsy graduated from Springdale High School, began work at Ford Motor, and later, First National Bank of Springdale. Her father, Henry Szmyd, precedes her in death. She was united in marriage and is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dennis "Buddy" Trollinger. She is survived by two children, Marni Trollinger-Meeks and husband, Daniel, of Tontitown, Joshua Trollinger and wife, Brandi, of Centerton; five grandchildren, Reheanna Meeks, Jaden, Brayden, Talia and Moriah Trollinger. Patsy is also survived by her mother, Patricia (Pat) Szmyd-Kus of Springdale; her aunt, Monte Rae Adams of Springdale; four brothers, Johnny Szmyd of Paramount, Calif., Douglas Szmyd of San Francisco, Calif., Gary Szmyd of Fayetteville, Stan Szmyd of Springdale; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Patsy was active at First Baptist Church of Springdale until her illness limited her mobility. A memorial service, in her honor, will be Friday, July 13, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. The family requests memorials, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Michael J.
