Ezra Franklin Carswell

Ezra Franklin Carswell, 78, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away July 6, 2012, in Siloam Springs, Ark. He was born Jan. 17, 1934, in Abingdon, Va., to the late Frank and Ora Carswell. Ezra married Peggy Burgess on Sept. 21, 1951, in Greenville, Tenn. Ezra and Peggy owned and operated Carswell Marine in Siloam Springs for 35 plus years, he was a member of the Brick Mason Union in Kansas City, Mo. He attended the Sager Creek Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Ark. Survivors include: wife Peggy of the home; one daughter, Cindy Colemen and husband Scott of Springdale, Ark.; two sons, Charles Carswell and wife Penny of Siloam Springs, Ark., Les Carswell of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, John Carswell and wife Rita of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Jim Henderson officiating. Visitation will be held before the service starting at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.
