Geraldine Van Dorn

Geraldine Van Dorn, 84, of Springdale, died July 4, 2012, at her home. She was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Greenwood, Ark., to Charles Henry (Bud) and Jewell Craig Hampton. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and she enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Van Dorn; and one sister, Mary Alice Hampton. Survivors include one son, Charles "Chuck" Rexford and wife, Sharon, of Springdale; one daughter, Pricilla Chase of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Charlene and Timothy Kuyrkendall of Haward, Calif., Daniel and Tammy Rexford of Benton, La., and Ronald Rexford of Springdale; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Galloway officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
