Crisanna Beebe Jackson

Crisanna Beebe Jackson was born Dec. 3, 1951, in El Dorado and died July 1, 2012, at the University of Arkansas of Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Her life ended in the presence of loved ones as a result of complications from a stroke. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1969 and attended Ouachita University and Southern State College. She was a voracious reader, especially of historical novels about English Queens. She loved nature, and she decorated her gardens with heart-shaped rocks discovered at rivers and lakes across the state. She adored Percy Ray the poodle and his friend Scootie. Cris mostly loved "her people" and moved to Fayetteville a decade ago to enjoy her grandchildren. Survivors include her parents, Johnny and Martha Sue Beebe; sisters, Connie Gryder (Danny) and Lucy Lawson (Morris); a brother, John Beebe III; daughters, Keely Cook of Centerton, Ark., and Cassie Jackson of Monte Rio, Calif.; a son, Kip Amedee of El Dorado; grandchildren, Alexis Cook and Colton Cook; her best friend, Meridith Brooks; and her partner in life, Steve Shofner. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors with Faron Rogers officiating. Following the service, the family will receive guests from 11 a.m. to noon at Immanuel Baptist Church, 701 Southwest Ave., in El Dorado.
