Roger McChesney Dew, 87, died July 1, 2012. He was born May 25, 1925 in Eudora, Ark. to Carroll W. and Gladys Lawson Dew He retired as Branch Manager after 37 years of service to General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Roger was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church, served on the Salvation Army Board, the St. John's Community Board, and was a member of the Noon Civics Club. Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Regina S. Dew, one son, Roger D. Dew and his wife Alice Thorsen of Lexington, S.C.; two daughters, Mary Smart Holland and her husband Thomas, of Mililani, Hawaii, and Regina Smart Thompson and her husband, Sydney of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Thomas Pierce Holland, Davis Smart Holland, Roscoe Charles Thompson, and Caroline Sparks Thompson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Henry Dew, and his two brothers, Stuart E. and Lawson Dew.
