Leo Ryan, 72, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence in Rogers. He was born June 18, 1940, in Wesley, AR to Max Ryan and Erma Lake Ledbetter Ryan. He served in the Army National Guard for eight years and worked for SWEPCO for over 45 years. He was a faithful member of Southside Church of Christ for many years where he served as a Deacon. Leo loved his wife and family dearly and they knew they were the most important people in the world to him. He always placed others above himself. Daughter, Tina Louise Ryan preceded him in death, in 1984. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rita Sherry Stanley Ryan; one son, Timothy Leo Ryan, and wife, Carolyn, of Carl Junction, Mo.; two brothers, Jerry Ryan, and wife Sue, of Farmington, Ark., Larry Ryan, and wife Carol, of Farmington; one sister, Barbara Groves, and husband, Jerry, of Hope, Ark.; and two grandchildren, Megan Louise and Caitlyn Ann Ryan and many beloved family members and friends. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2012, at Southside Church of Christ in Rogers with Minister Randall Caselman officiating. Burial will be at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial can be in honor of Leo Ryan to the "Tina Louise Ryan Memorial Fund," c/o Oklahoma Christian University, Box 11000, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73136.
