Dean Franklin Faust

Dean Franklin Faust, Rogers, Ark., formerly of Des Moines, died on June 7, 2012, in Des Moines. He was born June 13, 1917, in St. Charles, Iowa. Dean served in the Army Air Forces (AAF) during WW II, where he was stationed in Italy. He worked many years at Hoxie Wholesale and ran his own food wholesale company in Creston, Iowa, before retiring to Beaver Lake in Rogers, Ark., to pursue his love of fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, neighbors and church family. He was a member of Isaac Walton League, a 50-year Mason and a faithful member of Bland Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers, Ark. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Mae Faust; three brothers, Fon, Forrest and Charles; and his two wives, Ruth Slater Faust and Irene Magnussen Faust. He is survived by his three children, Dean James (Christine Joslin), Gary (Fran) and Karen (Steve) Woody; five grandchildren, Jason Faust, Jon Faust, Erin Woody Schirm, Max Faust and Alexis Faust; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service with military funeral honors will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Bland Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers, Ark.
