Howard E Zimmerle

Howard E. Zimmerle, 85, died Feb. 17, 2012, at Circle of Life in Springdale. He was born May 7, 1926, in Olney, Ill., to the late Walter E. and Martha (Gardner) Zimmerle. Howard attended the House of God in Rogers, enjoyed visiting nursing homes and music, especially the steel guitar. He was a government inspector for the USDA for many years. He is survived by his sons Frank Zimmerle of Illinois, Tommy Johnson of Oklahoma, Trent Johnson of Bentonville, and Darren Zimmerle of Missouri; daughters Lisa Palmer of Illinois, Sue Drymon and Martha Sheller both of Missouri. He has 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Howard is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Cope) Zimmerle, son Charles Johnson, five brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark. Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 7 p.m..
