John Roland Julian, 87, passed on to his eternal reward on Thursday, February 16, 2012. He was born August 2, 1924, in Armorel, Arkansas to James and Julia Julian. He was married to the love of his life, Lucille Potts Julian, for 61 years prior to her death. John owned and operated a painting contracting business for over 50 years in Osceola. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945 in the Pacific Theater. John was a long time member of the Osceola Church of Christ, serving as a Deacon and Elder for many years. He also taught Sunday school to the children of the church for many years. He studied his Bible and lived his life as an example to others of the way a Christian should live. John was predeceased by his wife, Lucille Potts Julian, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Brothers (Johnny) of Osceola, Roland Julian (Betty) of Rogers and Jim Julian (Patti) of North Little Rock. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis (Clint), Barron Brothers (Kathy), Bradley Julian (Jaclyn), Rebecca Julian, Kathryn Julian and two great-grandsons, Brody and Wyatt. Visitation with the family will be held at the Osceola Church of Christ on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
