Ruby Genevieve Gayer, age 84 of Fayetteville died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born June 19, 1928, in Goshen, Ark., to Lawson Langham and Louise Guinn Noeller. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville and was a volunteer at Washington Regional Medical Center for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sharon McKinney; son-in-law, Dr. Robert McKinney; two sisters, Doris Cox, Martha Berthold; two brothers, Bill Langham and Bob Langham. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Paul Gayer; one daughter, Brenda Carmack and her husband Bill of Fayetteville, Ark.; her sister, Janice Harper and her husband Jerry of Santa Rosa, Fla.; two grandsons, Travis Garton and his wife Polly, Jason Garton and his wife Amber; four great-grandchildren, Isabel Garton, Stella Garton, Charlie Garton and Genevieve Garton. Visitation will be 2 p.m.–4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Central United Methodist Church in the Great Hall of Central Activities Center under the direction of Moore's Chapel with burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens following the service.
