Margaret Loree Gilbert

Margaret "Loree" Gilbert passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at her home in Fayetteville. Loree was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Sugar Hill Community (near present day Lincoln), the daughter of Elra D. Gilbert and Elizabeth Morell Gilbert. She worked at Oberman Manufacturing and Northwest Vending Company. She quit work at a young age in order to care for her mother. She served Jehovah faithfully her entire life, and found no greater happiness than telling others about the promises God has in store for mankind. At the time of her death she was a member of the East-Fayetteville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a faithful servant of God and a caring and loyal friend, and she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her brother, James David ‘JD' Gilbert of the home; her close friend and caregiver, Laura Denton, also of the home; several cousins; and many, many friends and loved ones, far too numerous to list. Family will receive visitors at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Private Interment will be held at Sugar Hill Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fayetteville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2837 Old Wire Road, Fayetteville with Brother Wayne Fisher officiating.
