Mary Ellen Gilley

Mary Ellen Gilley, 90, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born May 6, 1922, in Elkins, the daughter of Milton Henry and Laura Irene Moore Foster. She was a member of Sang Avenue Baptist Church and homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband, A.F. Gilley; twin sister, Marie Parnell and sister, Ruby Collins; two brothers, Walter Foster and Earl Foster; and son-in-law, Frank Blew. Survivors include one daughter, Mava Nell Gilley Blew of Fayetteville; and one son, Gary Eugene Gilley and wife, Janis of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Jackie Davis and husband, Justin, Jimmy Blew and wife, Connie, Missy Lewis and husband, Russell and Buckley Blew and wife, Kim; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
