James Edward Rush

James Edward Rush, 46, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born Nov. 29, 1966, in Lubbock, Texas, the son of Charles Wayne Rush and Madeline Mosher Rush. Following graduation from Bentonville High School in 1985, James joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. After his time in the service, he joined the Arkansas National Guard and fought in the Persian Gulf War. He loved to travel, fish and enjoyed following the University of Texas football team. He worked for Walmart Transportation for 22 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bentonville. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wayne Rush on May 10, 1993. James is survived by his mother, Madeline Joyce Mosher Rush; one brother, Delbert Rush, and wife, Shawnna, of Cary, N.C.; two nieces, Sydney and Samantha Rush, of Cary, N.C.; and many friends and co-workers. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Pat Robinson officiating. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Memorials may be made in honor of James Rush to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 or the Benton County Humane Society, 407 East Nursery Road, Rogers, AR 72758.
