Dorothy G. Cathey

Dorothy G. Cathey, age 88, of Rogers died Dec. 10, 2012, at Bradford Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bentonville. She was born in Nocona, Texas, on June 12, 1924, to Wesley and Anna Gaydon. For many years she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights, Ill., and more recently First Presbyterian Church in Rogers. She is survived by her son, Breck Cathey and wife, Linda, of Ridgefield Park, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Otis Cathey in 2009; and a brother, Hollis Gaydon. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Rogers. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, should be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72764. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, www.rollinsfuneral.com.
