Bobby Dean Eldridge, 80 of Springdale died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 14, 1932, in Springdale to David Herman and Cleta Autry Eldridge. Bobby was a long haul truck driver for 40 years during which time he worked for Steel Canning, Yellow Freight and Roadway. He attended Springdale Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1987 for 44 years and the Teamsters for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Eldridge; one son, Phil Mayo; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by one brother, Ollie Eldridge and wife, Louene, of Springdale; one sister, Shirley Rhoden of Nederland, Texas; one grandchild, Megan James and husband, Elliott, of Fayetteville; and daughter-in-law Frances Mayo of Fayetteville. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Springdale Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. H.M. Shipp and Rev. Wesley Hulvey officiating. Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Memorials may be made to the Bread of Life, 208 W. Emma Ave., Springdale, AR 72764 or a charity of your choice.
