Otis Alfred Dahl, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Concordia Care Center, Bella Vista, Ark. He was born April 10, 1922, in Sacred Heart, Minn., to Ole and Anna Kjonsletten Dahl. He was raised and educated in Sacred Heart, Minn. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. Otis married Frances Clauson in September of 1945. They lived in Sacred Heart, Minn., Poplar, Mont., and Carrington, N.D., before moving to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1983. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Kiwanis Lions, VFW, Sons of Norway, Habitat for Humanity and Helping Hands. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; one brother; and four sisters. He is survived by three sons, Richard Dahl and wife, Sherry, of Bella Vista, Ark., William Dahl and wife, Susan, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Charles Dahl and wife, Shelly, of Hazen, N.D.; two daughters, Rosemary Houk of Oroville, Calif., and Barbara Dahl of Shoreview, Minn.; brother, Stanley Dahl of Sioux Falls, S.D.; sister, Doris Spence of Seattle, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Olive Walsh of Bella Vista, Ark. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista, Ark. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
