Clarence "Dobe" C. Martin, 85, of West Fork, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Washington Regional Hospice in Fayetteville. He was born May 28, 1927, in Winslow, Ark., to Warren and Hazel Mae Crane Martin. Clarence worked 34 years for Campbell Soup in Fayetteville. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in West Fork. He loved to travel and take road trips. He was an avid sports fans. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred E. Martin and his siblings, Helen Taylor, Fred Martin, Frances Martin, Ruth Madden, Blanche Kinion, Jack Martin, Bill Martin, Dan Martin, F.D. Martin, John Martin, Anna May Martin and Willie Martin. Survivors include one son, Ruford McCown and wife Kyra of Fayetteville; one grandson, Edward McCown and wife Susan of Fayetteville; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Martin of West Fork, Tawanna Martin of Texas, Pam Martin of California and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Square Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703.
