Harold Louis Strosahl, 89, a World War II veteran of Bentonville, passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, with his daughter, Tammy, by his side. He was born in Westgate, Iowa, July 21, 1923. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 71 years, Verla, who passed Nov. 7, 2012; and two great-grandchildren. Harold is survived by eight children, Jim Strosahl and wife, Phyllis, of Montana, Dale Strosahl and wife, Florence, of Minnesota, Gloria Studt and husband, John, of Arkansas, Dean Strosahl and wife, Petra, of Germany, Joyce Blass and husband, Bob, of Iowa, Kenny Strosahl and wife, Vicky, of Iowa, Becky Garret of Arkansas, Tammy Hummel of Arkansas; also, he is survived by 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be in Oelwein, Iowa, at a later date. A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church of Rogers, with Pastor Paul Theiss officiating.
