Marvin Wayne Shook

Marvin Wayne Shook, 71, of Gravette, Ark., died Aug. 29, 2012, near Huntsville, Ark. He was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Healing Springs, Ark. He lived in Decatur, Ark., prior to moving to Gravette and was employed by Gates Rubber Company. Marvin enjoyed playing cards at the Gentry Senior Center and was an avid Pitch player. He attended First Christian Church in Gentry, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Gilda Faye Shook. Survivors include sons, Wayne Eugene Shook and wife, Karen, of Maysville, Ark., Randy Leon Shook and wife, Tonya, of Jericho Springs, Mo., and Tad Marshall Shook and wife, Sandy, of Sulphur Springs, Ark.; daughters, Vicki Lynn Marshall and husband, Wesley, of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Deanna Earlene Arnold and husband, Jason, of Jericho Springs, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Milczarski of Rogers, Ark., Norma Skaggs of Gentry, Ark., and Peggy Jackson Houston, Texas; brothers, JL Shook of Grove, Okla., and Donnie Shook of Gentry, Ark. Pallbearers will be Wayne Shook, Randy Shook, Tad Shook, Wesley Marshall, Darrell Carroll and Jeremy Marshall. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Larry Weihe officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, Ark. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
