Clora Mae Nichols, 90, of Garfield died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Red Rose Inn in Cassville, Mo. She was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Glade, Ark., to William Henry Williams and Melissa Catherine Morrison. She lived in this area all her life, enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and reading. She was a cook and housekeeper at Defenders Townhouse in Rogers for many years and also did babysitting. She attended Reddick Assembly of God Church in Garfield, and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Nichols; her stepfather, James Ash; three brothers, Ora, Bryan and Austin "Hickory" Williams; four sisters, Lucy Rayon, Bertha McBride, Nora Snoderly and Nova Williams. Survivors are three sons, Ron Nichols and wife, Karen, of Carthage, Mo., Richard Nichols and wife, Dianna, of Garfield, Darrell Nichols and wife, Doris, of Bentonville; a daughter, Kathy Youngman and husband, Ron, of Corinth, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Service is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge, with Brother Lee Burchfield officiating. Burial will be at Ruddick Cemetery.
