Vonda Lee Dane

Vonda Lee Dane, 75, died Aug. 20, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born March 16, 1937, to the late Oscar James and Eola Beatrice (Dyer) Whittington. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Dane Jr. Vonda is survived by her children, Paul Rodney Benton of Rogers and Lorraine Dark of Bella Vista; and stepchildren, Theresa Pockrus, Mary Yingst, Rose Wilson, Cecelia Foy, Diana Thomas, Anita Parker, Angela McKinney, Beth Parmar, William Dane, Walter Dane III. She has six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her second husband, Billy Joe Pinson; and siblings, James Wittington, Billy Joe Wittington, Fountain Phillip Wittington, Wendall Wittington, Vernon Wittington, Herman Wittington, Bertha Whitley and Lorraine Ranton. A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
