Alfred Thomas Donahue

Alfred Thomas Donahue, age 92, of Lowell died Aug. 20, 2012, at Springdale Health and Rehab Nursing Center. He was born April 7, 1920, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Jerome Thomas and Irene Leonard Donahue. He was of the Pentecostal faith and had worked as a security guard. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Donahue enjoyed riding horses, wrestling and boxing. He was also an ordained minister and taught many Bible classes. He was preceded by one son, Brian Donahue. Mr. Donahue is survived by three sons, Jerry Donahue of Texas, Bruce Donahue and his wife, Eileen, of Indiana, and Kevin Donahue and his wife, Debra, of Lowell; one daughter, Patricia Zuber of Fayetteville; one brother, Charles Eugene Donahue of West Fork; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Cremation was under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
