William 'Bill' Landon Brower

William "Bill" Landon Brower, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at his home in Bella Vista. He was born on Sept. 30, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Burgess L. Brower and Ardith Humphrey Brower. He was raised and educated in California, served in the Merchant Marines and sailed to foreign countries. Bill made his home in San Francisco and was employed by Pacific Telesis for 30 years until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, piloting his own plane and golf. He moved to Bella Vista in 1997 from Orofino, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond W. Brower; and sister, Patricia. Bill is survived by his wife, Jackie Brower of Bella Vista, Ark.; three sons, Rick Brower (Ann) of Copan, Okla., William A. Brower (Carol) of Montpelier, Idaho, Wade Brower (Jeanette), Springfield, Ohio; one daughter, Gail E. Heffron (Dale) of Dexter, Ore.; four brothers, Jerry Brower (Jan) of San Jose, Calif., James "Ike" Brower (Sheryl) of Portland, Ore., Danny Brower of San Francisco, Calif., Ted Brower ( Marge) of Florida; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. No local services are planned. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
