Kenneth Charles Garton

Kenneth Charles Garton, 81, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Aug. 10, 2012, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, at Kingston, Ark., the son of Howard and Sarah Steele Garton. He had retired from The Prudential after 35 years of service and was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicky Lee Hillian. Survivors include his wife, Diamond Ann Grigg Garton of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brett and Julia Johnson Garton of Springdale, Ark., and Gary and Nancy Ann Garton of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Debby Ann and Andy Langston of Eureka Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Keith Garton and Fred Garton, both of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sisters, Mona Villines of Kingston, Ark., and Dorothy Cariker of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Ridgeview Baptist Church with The Reverend Doctor Charlie Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Upper Campground Cemetery at Kingston under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be John Langham, Travis Garton, Jason Garton, Kerry Edgmon, Brandon Eubanks and Marvin Pierce.
