Stephen Layfayette (Perry) Hampton

Stephen Lafayette (Perry) Hampton, 63, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at his home near Winslow. Stephen was born at Sunset Mountain near Winslow, June 17, 1949. He married Jackie Louise Campbell Nov. 11, 1967. He worked at various occupations, including mechanic, welder and cabinet maker. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Cynthia May Leonard of Winslow; four grandchildren, Matthew Lafayette Leonard of Bentonville, Amanda Louise Graham of Winslow, Eddie David Leonard of Fayetteville, Jessie McKenly Leonard of Winslow; three great-grandchildren, David Graham, Sky Dawn, Zoey Jacobs; and his brothers and sisters and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held at the Brentwood Hilltop Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012.
