Pastor Paul P. Pluimer, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on July 12, 1931, in Morocco, Ind., to Frederick Pluimer and Grace Atkins Pluimer. Paul was an amazing husband, father, papa and a "pastor" to all. He was a minister for Open Bible for 55 years and married to Bev for 51 years and also a Korean War veteran. Everyone who met him instantly loved him, and even though he became a paraplegic at the age of 24, God used him to affect the lives of everyone he met. The greatest gift any man can leave is a Godly legacy! He is survived by wife, Beverly of Bella Vista, Ark.; son, Lanny (Brenda) of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter, Lisa Eggebraaten (Wes) of Bella Vista, Ark.; two brothers, Jim Pluimer (Shirley) of Lodi, Calif., Joe Pluimer (Nancy) of Duvall, Wash.; two sisters, Jane Henderson (J.R.) of Belle Fourche, S.D., Char Carner (Ted) of Pendleton, Ore.; six grandchildren, Chad, Brett, Brock, Jenna, Riley and Hunter; and two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Colton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Hope Church, 1700 Moberly Lane, Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor Joe Van Den Berg officiating. Burial was at the VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Church or to the Circle of Life Hospice.
