Ruby M. Dennis

Mrs. Ruby M. Dennis, age 84, of Forrest City, died Friday at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Her death came sudden and unexpected. Mrs. Dennis was born September 17, 1927, in Coldwater, Mississippi, and was the daughter of Clarence W. Meals and Una Lusk Meals. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was retired from Entergy, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was a member of the United Methodist Women at the First United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Dennis married Bennett Dennis in 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Dennis Stonner of Kennett, Missouri, one son, N.B. Dennis III of Moro, one brother, Clarence Wade Meals II, of Charlestown, Indiana, three grandchildren; Lindsay, Georgeann, and Jack, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Services for Mrs. Dennis will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10 a.m., Tuesday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
