Charley A. King, 90, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012, in Fort Smith. He was a former employee of Strange Welders of Fort Smith, former partner of Charlie King and Son Welding and C and K Wrecker Service. He was a member of Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church and a World War II Army Veteran. He loved serving his Lord, Gospel Music and going to Bluegrass Festivals. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Oda Holland King. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Barling Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by one son Kenneth King and wife Becky of Greenwood, Ark., one daughter Patsy Hassett and husband of Fort Smith, two brothers Marvin King and wife Glenda of Fort Smith and Eddie King and wife Barbara of f Fort Smith, two grandchildren Jennifer Barnes and husband Karl of Centerton, Ark. and J.P. Hassett and wife Susie of Fort Smith and one great granddaughter Madalyn Barnes of Centerton, Ark.
