Alma Mildred Kappen

Alma Mildred Kappen Groblebe, age 96, of Rogers, passed away Aug. 4, 2012, in Bentonville. Alma was born March 6, 1916, in Eureka Springs. Alma worked for many years as an accountant and also a homemaker. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kappen; her parents; brother, William J. Groblebe; and sister, Dorothy Groblebe. She is survived by her son, Richard Kappen and wife, Roberta, of Rogers; daughter, Barbara Mercer and husband, Jim, of La Mirada, Calif.; brother, Eddie Groblebe of Gravette; sister, Doris O'Conner of Eureka Springs; six grandchildren, Steven Mercer, Michael Mercer, Jamee Williams, Eric Kappen, Kendra Bliss, Mary Ann Patton; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Chapel of Rogers.
