Stanley Lee Allison

Stanley Lee "Stan" Allison, 83, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Aug. 2, 2012, at his home. Born March 16, 1929, in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of Warner Lee Allison and Oma Waterman Allison. He was employed by Armstrong Rubber, where he was a tire-builder before he retired. He moved to this area 20 years ago, and has enjoyed traveling in his trailer since his retirement. He attended First Baptist Church in Lowell, Ark. On July 18, 1998, he married Iva Williams in Tontitown, Ark. He was preceded in death by a son and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Iva, of the home; three sons, John Allison of Hickory Creek, Ark., David Allison of Des Moines, Iowa, and Warner Allison of Hickory Creek, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Sherry Lamphear of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one stepson, Roger Boyle of Gentry, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark., with Pastor Mike Whorton officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter of choice.
