Bill 'Buzzard' Peterka

Bill "Buzzard" Peterka, 71, of Combs, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, in Fayetteville. He was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of William C. Peterka and Laura Brown Peterka. He was a member of BACA (Bikers against Child Abuse) and retired from Gates Rubber Company. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Mount Comfort Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Carol Peterka Kelly. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Wreatha Jo Peterka of the home; three sons, Steve Williams and wife, Shannon, of Farmington, Clayton Williams and wife, Lisa, of Fayetteville, Henry Moore of Little Rock, Ark.; sister, Laura Peterka Lewis of Siloam Springs, Ark.; grandson, Dustin Williams of Farmington; and granddaughters, Teighlor and McKenleigh Williams of Farmington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., or Tailwaggers Inc., P.O. Box 6716, Siloam Springs, AR 72761. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Nelson Berna Funeral Home. Nelson Berna Funeral Home handled the cremation arrangements.
