Virginia Mae Potts, age 91, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadow in Springdale. Virginia was born on Oct. 17, 1920, in Springdale, Ark., a daughter of Walter Marvin Morton and Bessie Lee (Prince) Morton. She retired from Wal-Mart, she enjoyed bowling, cooking, flowers, photography and spending time with her family. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Springdale since 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband, Euel S. Potts; two daughters, Patricia Mae Windham and Carol M. Donahue; and two brothers, Jimmy Lee Morton and Jack Bernard Morton. Virginia is survived by her three children, Robert Euel Potts of Fort Smith, Dennis L. Potts and wife, Loretta, and Linda Jean Rose and husband, James, all of Springdale, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Clara M. Anglin, Walter "Hickory" Morton and wife, Mary, all of Springdale, Ark., and Dianna Lynn Watson of Bentonville, Ark. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Springdale, Ark., with the Rev. Gary Burney officiating. Committal service to follow at the Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark.
