Henry Allen Rankin, 57, of Fayetteville, died July 29, 2012, in Winslow. He was born Nov. 19, 1954, in Springdale to Henry Ward and Beatrice Maude Reed Rankin. He enjoyed cars, trucks. He graduated from Fayetteville High School West Campus in 1973. He was a rock-solid man putting all of his blood, sweat and tears into everything he did. He educated his children to the world that surrounded them. A collector of all kinds, he found leisure in appreciation for the outdoors. He was a master plumber taught by his father and the legacy continued. He was hard-working and had strong values that provided his family with everything. Like the old saying goes, "They don't make 'em like they used to, strong, sturdy and built to last" — that was Allen Rankin. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Rankin, of the home, whom he married Nov. 30, 1984; one son, Henry Allen "Hank" Rankin of the home; two daughters, Heather Moore and husband, Bobby Moore Jr., and Valerie Rankin, both of Fayetteville; one grandson, Gavin Glenn Moore. Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Park Cemetery near Winslow, with Pastor Chris Kohlman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1200 W. Walnut Street, Suite 2313, Rogers, AR 72756.
