Omer Frank LeRoy

Omer Frank LeRoy, 81, of Springdale died April 28, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Oakland, Ark., to Ralph and Euna Rea LeRoy. Omer retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of honorable service. He served in Korea and Vietnam, and earned a Purple Heart for his service. He worked in construction for many years. He was a member of the Civitan Club for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Norma LeRoy of the home; two sons, Butch LeRoy and wife Alexa of Liberty, Mo., and Mark LeRoy of Springdale; one daughter, Katharine Neff and husband Steve of High Ridge, Mo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor Buddy Stockton officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville with full military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
