James Fussell Taylor Jr.

James Fussell (Jim) Taylor Jr., 75, of Springdale, Ark., died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, while in hospice care in Springdale. He was born Sept. 11, 1936, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Virginia Hess Taylor and James Fussell Taylor Sr. Jim married Gladys Totty Taylor on June 20, 1964, and they resided in Forrest City for nearly 30 years. Missing his enduring sense of humor and wisdom are his son, Jimmy and wife, Julie, and children of Alpharetta, Ga.; daughter, Virginia Taylor Kelsey and children of Springdale, Ark.; son, Stephen Taylor and wife, Candace, and children of Fort Smith, Ark. His sister, Sandy, and brother, Leon, both of Arlington, Va., also survive Jim. Jim's time in Forrest City spanned many years. His work in the area consisted of: Taylor-Knight-King Insurance; Warwick Electronics (later Sanyo); General Industries; he then co-owned a Century 21 real estate office with his wife, Gladys, and later became the regional manager for Century 21. Jim thoroughly enjoyed the friends he made and received a great deal of joy from fulfilling his duties at each of these posts. Visitation will be at Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City on Friday, April 27, from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service is planned for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Methodist Church in Forrest City.
