Jackie Weatherton Sanders, 44, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, April 24, at a local Fort Smith hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1967, in Fort Smith and was a 4th-grade teacher at Orr Elementary and a member of the First Baptist Church, Arkoma. Preceded in death by her father, Jack Weatherton, she is survived by her husband Greg of the home; two daughters, Jennifer and Jordan Sanders, both of Fort Smith; her parents, Mack and Sarah Woody of Alma, Ark., and Beverly Weatherton of Arkoma, Okla.; and one brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Shawn Weatherton of Muldrow, Okla. A visitation has been scheduled at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 201 N. 12th, Fort Smith from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26. A celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at the East Side Baptist Church, 2710 Massard Road, Fort Smith, with the Rev. Rick Kester and Mason Polk officiating. There will be a 2:30 p.m. committal at Bluff Cemetery, North Shiloh Street, Springdale, Ark. Pallbearers will be her cousins: Tony Maxwell, Chris Keith, Chris Dodson, John Polinskey, Kyle Satterfield and Richard Longmate. Honorary pallbearers will be Cade and Baylor Weatherton. It was Jackie's wish that in lieu of flowers, contributions are to be made to First Baptist Church, 200 Sicard Ave., Arkoma, OK; or the Reynolds Cancer Support House, 3324 S.
