Loretta Boss Parker

Loretta Boss Parker, 85, of Bentonville, Ark., died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville. She was born April 7, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., to Louis Joseph Anderson and Mary E. Leicht Anderson. Loretta was a warm, generous person that loved her family and friends. Time with the grandchildren was so special; she spoiled all of them. She was so precious to her family and will truly be missed. She enjoyed dancing, loved to play golf, was the past president of the Women's Golf Association at Pinnacle Country Club and was a longtime member and officer of Beta Sigma Phi. She worked in retail as the executive secretary for Sam Walton for 25 years. For over 60 years Loretta was an active, faithful member of The First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and her first husband of 34 years, Clarence W. Boss. Loretta is survived by her husband of 23 years, William "Bill" Parker; two daughters, Lee Bell and husband Don of Rogers, Ark., Nancy Hutchison and husband Bob of Bentonville, Ark.; one son, Bill Boss and wife Diane of Bentonville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Dr. Erin Boss of Starkville, Miss., Kelly Boss of Bentonville, Ark., Caitlyn Hutchison of Long Beach, Calif., and Drew Hutchison of Bentonville; two stepsons, William P. Parker and wife Susie of Oklahoma City, Okla., Stephen Parker of Mobile, Ala. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at The First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Art Fogartie officiating. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery. Memorials may be made in honor of Loretta Parker to the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville, 901 NE "J" Street, Bentonville, AR 72712.
