Charles Ray "Chuck" Johnson, 79, of Farmington, Ark., went to meet his Lord and Savior on April 19, 2012, at Washington Regional Medical Center. Chuck was born July 4, 1932, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to George and Cora May Daniels Johnson. He was a musician, auctioneer and business owner. He owned and operated Johnson's Store at 519 College Avenue for 53 years. Chuck played drums and sang with his band "Rhythm Makers," as well as Frankie Kelly Band, Leach Leach and Ken Harvey Band. He also played behind Johnny Lee Wills, Leon McCullough, Buck Owens and Willie Nelson, to name just a few. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Betty Fay Johnson and Letha Jay "Toby" Wright. Chuck is survived by the love of his life, Rosie Madewell of the home; Larry and Janet Madewell of Farmington, Leon and Debbie Madewell of Springdale; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Jason Madewell officiating.
