Stephen Michael Philpott

Stephen Michael Philpott, 50, of Mabelvale, passed away April 14, 2012. He was born July 30, 1961, in Lake Village, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Owen L. Philpott. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Philpott; his daughter, Leah Marie Philpott; his mother, Jean Mary Cahill; one sister, Jeannie (Stephen) Stilley; two brothers, David (Carol) Philpott and Charles Turley; four nephews, Matthew (Shawna) Philpott, Mark (Julie) Philpott, Samuel (Misty) Philpott, and Doug Philpott; three nieces, Gabrielle Stilley, Stephanie Stilley, and Laura Philpott; ten great-nieces and nephews and a host of beloved in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Stephen, known as "Philpott" outside the Philpott clan, loved his family and friends. He worked 18 years for the City of Little Rock Traffic Engineering and was a CASA child advocate. He raised Dobermans and thoroughly loved to hunt at his Aunt Ruthie's. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, April 23, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Stephen's name be made to St. Edwards Catholic School, 805 Sherman, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
